FIRST AID AT WORK - 4 Day
This course covers the full syllabus, as outlined by the Health & Safety Executive and approved under the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.
The course will teach the student how to deal with:-
- Resuscitation
- Bleeding
- Care of the unconscious casualty
- Shock
- Hypoxia
- Diabetic and epileptic emergencies
- Burns
- Fractures
- Poisoning
- Infection control
- Simple record keeping.
A certificate and wallet card will be awarded on a successful assessment on completion of the course. The qualification is valid for 3 years. First Aiders with a valid qualification may be designated a First Aider in the workplace.
Courses are usually split (i.e Tuesday/Wednesday one week then Thursday/Friday the following week). This is commonly more convenient for staff availability. However if this is not suitable, the courses may be held over one week, 4 days running.
Note - First Aid cover is required throughout the whole of the working hours, for holiday cover, and for planned absences
