Respiratory Nurse Services (RNS), a unique and independent professional nursing service providing both educational and clinical support to Primary Care.
The main remit of RNS is to assist practices to review their COPD patients to optimise patient care and achieve maximum GMS Contract points. The service, provided by Specialist Respiratory Nurses, is available throughout the UK and is tailored to the individual needs of each client group.
Educational workshops for GP's and Practice Nurses can also be provided on various aspects of respiratory care including ‘Differential Diagnosis’, ‘Spirometry Testing’ and ‘Interpretation of the data’. Lung function testing, including reversibility when appropriate, is carried out using a gold standard Spirometer.
